On Tuesday's Afternoon Shift we talk about experimental ways of growing up- some successful, others less so.

First we take a long look at public housing experiements- primarily Chicago's Cabrini-Green. We look at what went wrong with the experiment and where its former residents are now.

Chicago Transit Authority president Forrest Claypool recently tried an experimental approach to growth with his plan for upgrading the south end of the Red Line. He's on the show to talk about how he came to decide to close nine stops for five months.

For our Tech Tuesday segment we turn to social media sites and their increased interest in attracting 'tweens. With such new technology, is it a good idea to trust your child's social growth to these companies?

Finally, we talk with one of the biggest names in progressive, experimental music: Jon Anderson of YES.
