Original work on themes that include migration, displacement, cultural memory, exile, imperialism, border crossing, and the outsider experience was presented by Susan Azar Porterfield, Beatriz Badikian-Gartler, Susanna Lang, Gwendolyn Mitchell, Pamela Garvey, Angela Torres, Mirela Ramona Ciupag, and Sharmili Majmudar. In addition, Pritika Chowdhry, curator for the art exhibit, will read excerpts introducing the theme.
