World Music Festival Chicago 2007 is right around the corner and Radio M will be in the thick of the weeklong international music lovefest.

This month’s edition of New Sounds puts the spotlight on Radio M contributor Peter Margasak’s highlights of the festival. The music writer for the Chicago Reader says you should definitely check out Argentinian accordianist Chango Spasiuk and Mali’s Tartit.

And don’t forget to head to the Logan Sqaure Auditorium on Septmeber 14 for the Radio M remote broadcast!

Also this week, the woman behind the new film Gypsy Caravan. The movie chronicling an American tour of Roma artists opens August 24 at the Music Box Theatre.
