A Chicago police officer shot a man on the city’s West Side on Wednesday after the man allegedly ran the officer down with his car. Police say two officers suspected the man was in a stolen vehicle. The man struck one officer during the pursuit, causing a severe injury to his leg. That officer shot the man, who is in serious but stable condition.
