Despite a setback today from an administrative hearing judge in Chicago, activists say they’ll continue fighting for homeless people in the Uptown neighborhood. The administrative judge said Chicago was right to deny a Public Assembly Permit to activists who believe homeless people should be allowed to create a tent encampment on the property of a now-shuttered elementary school. The activists say they plan to appeal the decision to Circuit County court.
