The billboard on Halsted and 58th Street shows a man placing a very young boy in a baby swing with the words “I AM ENGLEWOOD.”

Jishay Tates walks this way to work at Starbucks, but she hadn’t noticed the sign until she was asked to share her impressions.

“Growing up, you’re not used to seeing people in this area who are raised by their fathers— more like a single-parent-home,” she said. “So this picture with the man who appears like he’s the boy’s father at the park with him, showing some kind of love, care, affection — yeah. I think that’s great, actually.”

The Englewood Rising campaign has six billboards and plans to add a seventh, said organizer Aysha Butler.
