Come Monday, some 12-thousand elementary school students in Northwest suburban Palatine could without nurses, teacher assistants, or clerks.
The union representing 435 support staff in Palatine’s elementary school district say they could walk out as early as Monday. They say they are frustrated with district officials for not scheduling any negotiations before then, even as they are still must work out benefit, leave and wage issues.
