An expert in international security says terrorism propaganda is changing, and it’ll take more than blocking websites to prevent it. At a conference on terrorist threats yesterday at U of C, Pape said ISIS is now using a Hollywood narrative of a hero’s journey that is common in movies like Star Wars and the Lion King. Pape said understanding what people find inspiring about the videos will be key in preventing terrorism.
