Late last month, police watchdog group COPA ruled an officer did not follow policy in a fatal shooting. At a community meeting in the Austin neighborhood on Chicago’s West Side, pastors and community leaders applauded that decision but said they want more to be done. Rev. Marshall Hatch knew the victims — Quintonio LeGrier and Bettie Jones. He says COPA’s decision will be a real test for Superintendent Eddie Johnson and whether he’ll take further action against the officer involved in the shooting.
