Analysis: United States Launches Airstrikes In Syria

On Thursday, the United States launched a missile attack on military assets in Syria in response to the April 4th suspected chemical weapons attack on the Syrian town of Khan Sheikhoun, that so far has killed close to 100 people. 

For analysis of the situation, we turn to historian and security expert, John Mearsheimer. He is a professor of political science at the University of Chicago and author of numerous books on foreign policy and security including, The Tragedy of Great Power Politics and Why Leaders Lie: The Truth about Lying in International Politics.
