Cambodian stories of globalization

The documentary A River Changes Course " tells the story of three families living in contemporary Cambodia as they face hard choices forced by rapid development and struggle to maintain their traditional ways of life as the modern world closes in around them." The film, by director Kalyanee Mam, won the World Cinema Grand Jury Prize: Documentary at Sundance. Kalyanee Mam joins us to discuss the film. The film screens Wednesday September 25th at 6:30 pm at Northeastern Illinois University at Chicago.
