Combating Polio

Polio is still considered endemic in just three countries: Pakistan, Afghanistan and Nigeria. Successful vaccination programs have been key in wiping out the disease. In Nigeria, it’s been nearly a year since a case of polio was reported. In Pakistan this year, cases are dropping. Aziz Memon, PolioPlus Chairman of Pakistan with Rotary International, and Dr. Tunji Funsho, PolioPlus Chairman of Nigeria with Rotary International, join us to talk about their efforts to stomp out the disease.
