Humanitarian crisis in Iraq, and how US companies use tax inversion
Varying reports say that the Iraqi military, with the aid of U.S. Airstrikes, has either secured or is close to securing Mosul Dam from the ISIS militant group. We’ll talk to, Laith Saud Laith Saud.
Then, the regime of tax inversion allows U.S. companies to, essentially on paper, move their headquarters abroad to reduce U.S. tax burdens. Bloomberg Reporter, Zachary Mider will give us some background and context.
And, as President Obama hails the “success” of U.S. airstrikes to help free stranded Yazidi on Mount Sinjar, Kurdish officials and Yazidi refugees warn of a “continued humanitarian disaster”.
