Icelandic artist takes work to downtown Chicago

Icelandic artist Steinunn Thórarinsdóttir is globally recognized for her humanistic, thought-provoking sculptures. From now until spring 2014, the city of Chicago will get a taste of her work. “Borders,” a public sculpture installation appears at Jackson & Michigan Avenue, and features large, human-like figures that accentuate the beauty of quotidian life. Thórarinsdóttir joins us to discuss her work and the Icelandic art scene. (Photo: Steinunn Thórarinsdóttir)
