Iraq to select new Prime Minister, but not without resistance from Al-Maliki

It’s been an eventful weekend in Iraq. On the political front, Prime Minister, Nuri Al-Maliki, gave a defiant speech on Iraqi Television. And Iraq's new president has asked deputy speaker of parliament, Haider al-Abadi, to form a new government. On the military front, U.S. airstrikes have helped Kurdish forces retake two towns near Erbil.
