Italy Continues Rescue Efforts After Devastating Earthquake
The death toll from a magnitude-6.2 earthquake in Italy has now surpassed 240 and is expected to continue to rise. Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi has promised the Italian government will move swiftly to help rebuild the towns devastated by this week’s earthquake.
He's said “no family, no community will be left alone," but it's a tall order given the way the country has responded to previous quakes, where rebuilding has often been slow and plagued by scandals.
