Karam Foundation Helping Syrian Refugees

The Karam Foundation describes itself as “a local nonprofit organization that is dedicated to building a better future for Syria through...innovative education, smart aid, and sustainable development.” Karam means “generosity” in Arabic.

For our Global Activism segment, we talk with Karam CEO and co-founder, Lina Sergie Attar. A writer originally from Aleppo, she tells us what Karam is doing to alleviate the suffering of so many thousands of Syrians impacted by the war.
