There is a perception, and a reality, that people of color don’t go camping or engage in outdoor activities.
As the National Park Service (NPS) celebrates its centennial, one major initiative is to dramatically increase awareness and use of its parks and facilities amongst minorities. To further this goal, the NPS created the Office of Relevancy, Diversity and Inclusion (RDI).
RDI program manager Sangita Chari joins us to talk about their efforts.
