Nobel Peace Prize, Steve Jobs movie, and untold stories of Irish Independents

The National Dialogue Quartet in Tunisia has won the Nobel Peace Prize. Author John Thavis discusses the Pope’s Nobel nomination, this week’s Synod and this Pope’s methods for determining Sainthood. A festival celebrating Irish culture will focus on the Easter Rising, an armed insurrection that was mounted by the Irish, hoping for independence from British rule. The new film about Steve Jobs — aptly titled 'Steve Jobs’ — opens this weekend. It has been embraced by critics, but reportedly not by those who knew Jobs. (Photo: Flickr/Adam Baker)
