Turmoil in Venezuela

Earlier this week, Venezuela banned a number of U.S. politicians from traveling to their country. Former leaders like George W. Bush and Dick Cheney were banned, along with current Congresspersons like Marco Rubio and Ileana Ros-Lehtinen. But the ban is just the “tip of the iceberg” in Venezuela. We’ll hear more of the story from David Smilde, moderator of the Washington Office on Latin America’s Venezuelan Politics and Human Rights blog and professor of Sociology at Tulane University. Smilde is currently in Venezuela.
