What THAAD Means For US And South Korean Relations

President Moon Jae-In, the new liberal South Korean leader, has suspended the deployment of a controversial US missile defense system, called THAAD. We take a closer look at what is a thorny issue for South Korea with Ji-Young Lee, assistant professor of political science at American University’s School of International Service. She is also the author of the book China’s Hegemony: Four Hundred Years of East Asian Domination, published by Columbia University Press.
