White Sox Win Game 3 in Extra Innings

“It took well over five hours, but last night’s 7-5 victory over the Astros leaves the White Sox one win away from bringing home their first title in 88 years.

Seldom used utility infielder Geoff Blum hit a home run in the top of the 14th inning to give the Sox the lead for good.

The South Siders battled back from a 4-0 deficit with a 5 run 5th inning. The Astros tied it in the 8th inning, and the two teams remained knotted until the game winning homer in the 14th.

No team in World Series history has overcome a 3-0 deficit. Game 4 takes place tonight in Houston”
