Circle No More at O'Hare and Midway

New parking lots at Chicago’s airports are open today for people waiting to pick up arriving air travelers.

Nuria Fernandez, commissioner of the Chicago Department of Aviation, says the so-called cell phone parking lots at Midway and O’Hare are designed to free up surrounding roads.

“What this is really focused on is for those individuals who are coming in to greet passengers and have not allowed a significant amount of time. So rather than having them circling throughout the core, they would now go to this facility,” she says.

Parking in the lots is free.
