Drug Conference Wraps Up

More than 120 law and drug enforcement officials have just wrapped up a two day conference in Chicago on fentanyl.

The drug is an opiate painkiller that’s turning up in street heroin here amd in other places this year in Chicago alone it’s been linked to more than 60 deaths.

The conference was a means for federal and local officials to share information about fentanyl and their strategies to find out the source, so far they haven’t pinpointed it.

Chicago Public Radio’s Diantha Parker has been monitoring the conference and joined Melba Lara in studio.
