Analyst: Jet Blue a Good Fit for Chicago

A local transportation expert says the airline Jet-Blue would be good fit at O’Hare Airport.

The airline filed with the Federal Aviation Administration to provide as many as eight flights a day, starting in November.

Transportation expert Joe Schweiterman says Jet-Blue can provide cheap tickets and services the major airlines can’t.

“JetBlue really does bring a really exciting packages of services,” he says.

“They’re kind of the in airline right now with the Direct V on board and they have some of the amenities other airlines are trying to copy.”

Chicago’s Aviation department says it wants the airline at O’Hare and has space in one of the terminals.

The FAA will review details of the plan next week.
