The Blagojevich Education Record

In Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich’s first term, few issues have occupied as much of his time and attention as education. Blagojevich has been a strong advocate for enrolling more kids in pre-school and has funneled nearly four billion dollars in state money to Illinois schools. But the state’s financial problems have made it difficult for him to deliver on some parts of his agenda. Chicago Public Radio’s Jay Field reports.
