A well-known and controversial presidential candidate is making a campaign stop in Chicago this evening.

Ralph Nader will address supporters this evening at the Apollo Theater in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood. He’s been in town as part of what is now his fifth campaign for president.

The long-time consumer-rights advocate has run previously as a Green Party candidate, but this time he’s running as an independent. Some people blame Nader for taking votes away from Democrat Al Gore, which they say helped Republican George W. Bush win the White House back in 2000. Nader’s North Side rally starts at 7 o’clock.
