Durbin Optimistic about Obama

National polls predict a very close race in the Indiana Democratic Primary tomorrow. Illinois U.S. Senator Dick Durbin campaigned there for candidate Barak Obama over the weekend. Durbin says even if Obama loses this contest, he’s likely to still be the party’s nominee. DURBIN: The bottom line is that Senator Clinton is running out of real estate. They’ll only be, I think, 6 or 7 states and contests left before this comes to an end the first week in June. And we have been accumulating Superdelegate support at a much stronger pace than she has.

Unofficial AP numbers have Obama trailing Clinton by 20 superdelegates. The North Carolina Democratic primary is also held tomorrow.
