Resolution in Indiana Primary for Governor

The Democratic primary for Indiana governor is now settled. Architect Jim Schellinger this afternoon conceded defeat to former Congresswoman Jill Long Thompson. Jeff Harris a spokesperson for Long Thompson.

HARRIS: We’re going to be hitting the ground, visiting communities in Southern Indiana as well as Northern Indiana. So I think you’ll see over the next several days a very, very aggressive schedule from the Long Thompson campaign.

Earlier today, a statement from Schellinger’s campaign called the results “too close to call.” But now a Schellinger spokesperson says the margin of victory for Long Thompson grew as ballot counting continued. Long Thompson will face Republican Governor Mitch Daniels in November.
