More Jurors Added to R. Kelly Trial

Five more jurors were added to the R. Kelly child pornography trial on Tuesday.

Now there are a total of eight selected jurors. Twelve are needed plus four alternates.

Cook County Circuit Judge Vincent Gaughan spent day two questioning potential jurors to serve on the trial for R&B superstar Kelly.

Among the people selected are a man who has served on two other civil trials; a criminal justice student; a culinary arts student; an investment worker and a teacher’s assistant.

Some jurors were dismissed because they said they couldn’t stomach watching a sex video. Kelly, who was in court yesterday, is charged with having sex and urinating on an underage girl. The video will be shown during the trial. Jury selection is expected to go through Thursday.
