American Announces Deep Cuts at O'Hare

American Airlines is making deep service cuts to and from O’Hare. The airline is cutting about 12 percent of it’s Chicago routes, and completely eliminating service to Albany, New York, Providence, Rhode Island, and Harrisburgh, Pennsylvania.

Mary Frances Fagan is a spokeswoman for American.

FAGAN: We’re doing this because we’re faced with very high fuel costs that continue to just amaze people because they’re so high, and we have to find a way to just survive this financial storm.

The flight reductions will be completed by November.
