Chicago Airports Expect Drop In Travelers This Thanksgiving

About 2.5 million passengers will travel through Chicago airports this Thanksgiving weekend. That’s down more than 10 percent from last year.

Karen Pride is spokesperson for the Chicago Department of Aviation.

PRIDE: Everyone has anticipated since the spring because of oil and fuel prices that travel would be down a bit. Also because of reduced capacity of the airlines and the economy

Pride says tomorrow will be the busiest travel day at Midway airport.

O’Hare is expected to see its heaviest traffic on Sunday.
