Chicago’s airports are expecting 300,000 more holiday travelers this year compared to last year.
The holiday period for both Midway and O’Hare begins on Tuesday. Karen Pride is with the Department of Aviation. She says passengers should not bring wrapped gifts with them to the airport.
PRIDE: They could be opened and inspected, and all of your hard work would be for naught if you bring wrapped packages. So one of the things that the Department of Aviation has done over the years is offer complimentary gift-wrapping services for passengers once they get through security.
Pride says more than 3 million travelers are expected to pass through O’Hare and Midway.
