Chicago First Lady Maggie Daley is now resting at home after spending today at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. A spokeswoman for Mayor Richard Daley says she’s feeling a lot better.
That’s after she went to the hospital with flu-like symptoms related to her cancer treatment.
Maggie Daley was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in 2002. Last month, she used a wheelchair during radiation treatment for a tumor in her right leg.
Mayor Daley canceled two public events today to be with his wife.
