Fundraising Reports Due as Democratic Primary for Governor Tightens

Less than two weeks to go before Illinois’ primary election. Campaigns are hitting the TV and radio airwaves. And running those commercials takes big money. By midnight tonight, we’ll have a better idea how much each candidate has hauled in. Campaigns have to file a report detailing who gave them money in the past six months.

WBEZ’s political reporter Sam Hudzik has been keeping his eye on the filings, and he joined host Melba Lara in the studio. They also talked about the Democratic race for governor, which both campaigns say has tightened.
