Davis: People I Interact With Not Interested in Rahm

Illinois Congressman Danny Davis says his decision to run for Mayor of Chicago won’t be affected by Rahm Emanuel.

DAVIS: He will come to Chicago and run I guess if he meets the residency requirements. There seems to be some question about that.

Davis says the media seems to be overblowing Emanuel’s chances.

DAVIS: The people I interact with and interact the most with, they’re not interested in Rahm being the Mayor of the City of Chicago.

Davis is yet to formally announce whether he will run for mayor, but he has started circulating nominating petitions.

Mayoral hopefuls will need 12,500 valid signatures from registered voters by November 22nd in order to make the ballot.
