Four authors who know the history of Chicago’s mayors will discuss the current mayoral campaign and put it into historical perspective. The panel will include: Alderman Edward Burke, co-author of Inside the Wigwam and End of Watch; Dick Simpson, head of the political science department at University of Illinois at Chicago, former alderman, and author of Rogues, Rebels, and Rubberstamps; Richard Lindberg, author of many books on Chicago history, including The Gambler King of Clark Street; and James Merriner, author of Grafters and Goo Goos.
