Breakwater: The floating party island

A few weeks back, news was announced that a local entrepreneur wanted to find funding for a new Chicago development. It would essentially be a floating party island off the coast of Lake Michigan. It's called Breakwater Chicago. After all the attention he got last week when it was announced, Plainfield native Beau D'arcy announced the Kickstarter campaign to fund this, and within 2 days he had hit his goal of $30,000. But money may be the least of Breakwater's challenges. Alderman Brendan Reilly is already on record saying no to the project, while environmental groups are concerned about any new development on Lake Michigan.
