Logan Square Shooting Violence

The number of Chicago teens who've been killed this year increased in the past few days with the death of 13-year-old Schanna Gayden.

The 8th-grader was in a Logan Square playground with dozens of other children Monday night when police say she was caught in gang crossfire.

A 19-year-old suspected gang member was arrested member in connection with the murder.

But that's little comfort to Schanna's mother, friends and neighbors.

For Chicago Public Radio, TaQuoya Kennedy visited the community to learn more about the impact on those left behind.
