All-Star Sports Roundtable

The only thing hotter than the temperature in Chicago these days may be its two baseball teams.

After dismal starts, the Cubs and the White Sox have been on a tear lately.

The Sox have won 10 out of their last 15 and yesterday the team re-signed popular pitcher Mark Buerhle.

Meanwhile, the Cubs went 21-10 for the month of June.

That was enough to pull the team over the 500 mark and within a handful of games of the division leading Milwaukee Brewers.

With both teams at the All Star Break, we wanted to get a midseason report card on the progress so far--and the prospects for post season play.

With us to assess the fortunes of the Cubs, the Sox and the rest of Chicago's professional sports landscape are Jim Litke of the Associated Press, Lester Munson of ESPN and Cheryl Raye-Stout of Chicago Public Radio.
