Taxes Tax Hoosiers

While the city looks to raise revenue by leasing out infrastructure, sales taxes are also going up all around us.

Indiana's state sales tax went up yesterday from six to seven percent. We wanted to hear how Hoosiers are dealing with the extra pinch to their pocketbooks, so we caught up with some shoppers outside the Wal-Mart in Valparaiso.

Consumers in Chicago can soon expect to pay sales tax over 10 percent. That will make it the highest of any major city in the country.
