Onion City Experimental Film and Video Festival

At this year's Onion City Experimental Film and Video Festival, cinephiles and the merely curious can taste from an avant-garde sampler platter. There's a 20 minute film made entirely of material from a popular video game. Or, on the quieter side, there's a minimalist abstraction of visual and aural patterns. The program starts tonight at the Gene Siskel Film Center and plays at locations around the city through Sunday.

Eight Forty-Eight film contributor Jonathan Miller recently joined Alison Cuddy to preview some of the films at this year's event. He began with a film that some say may be the final film from 74-year-old filmmaker, Bruce Connor.
