Surveying the potential employment opportunities from the American Jobs Act

President Obama’s proposed Jobs Act targets unemployment. If it passes, will it be effective?

President Obama delivered his jobs bill to Congress Monday. He also gave legislators a nudge to put politics aside to put Americans to work. But how easy is that? A recent study showed some companies cannot find enough skilled workers despite a high number of Americans looking for work. So, Eight Forty-Eight wondered: Will the new American Jobs Act be of help? And how could it aid the unemployed if passed? For answers, Eight Forty-Eight was joined by Hal Weitzman of the Financial Times, who provided a preview of the jobs bill last Wednesday.
