Event description
Three years after the release of the NYTimes bestseller, Wow, No Thank You, bestselling author, celebrated comedian, and famed blogger Samantha Irby joins the WBEZ stage to present a new collection of essays in Quietly Hostile.
Join us on May 18th at the Mundelein Theater as Irby reveals all that is behind Hollywood’s mirage of glitz and glamor – from her experience in the writers’ room of the Sex and the City reboot to flop sweats on the red carpet. Joining Irby in conversation will be host of WBEZ’s Nerdette podcast, Greta Johnsen.
Copies of Quietly Hostile will be available for pre-order and at the event, followed by a book signing. We are proud to partner with Women & Children First.
