The Chi Sounds Like Showcase celebrates Chicago’s music scene by connecting you to a fresh artist that is moving the culture forward and DJs that keep the vibe going. This is your chance to hit the reset button on your week and chill to some good music. Join us for our inaugural Showcase featuring DJ All The Way Kay and DJ Shazam Bangles from the Vocalo DJ Collective and up-and-coming rapper Rich Robbins.

Shazam Bangles has a unique sound with an undeniable fluency and range, fusing a soulful spontaneity with technical prowess, which he is constantly refining since he began DJing in the late 90’s. He is also a catalyst for the preservation of turntable culture.

All The Way Kay matches beats with seamless transition and produces DJ sets that are as sonically varied as her city’s streets. She believes that a DJ’s skills can be sharpened, but musical taste cannot be taught. While her first love is House music, she is an open format DJ with an extensive collection of music.

Both DJs were winners of Vocalo radio’s “Quest 4 The Best” DJ competition.

Rich Robbins is genre-blending rapper whose sound and roots span from Philly to Oak Park. He’s also a Spoken Word Teacher and founder/host of Logan Square’s Respect the Mic Open Mic.
