One third of women who served in Iraq were victims of sexual violence

The Senate Armed Forced committee held hearings last week about sexual assault in the military. The hearing comes in part as a response to the case of Lt. Colonel James Wilkerson who was convicted of aggravated assault and dishonorably discharged. But that charge was then overturned and expunged from his record, allowing Wilkerson to return to the military.
