Funerals and mourning highlight different cultural traditions around food

Halloween may be over but we still have All Souls Day to eat spooky things and think about death. Vermont author and journalist Lisa Rogak recently published a Kindle version of her 2004 book to help you do just that. The book Death Warmed Over: Funeral Food, Rituals, and Customs From Around the World catalogs rituals from African-Americans to Zoroastrians, offering interesting trivia and recipes in between.
