New documentary traces the life of America’s greatest political cartoonist

For over half a century, the first and last name in American political cartoons was Herb Block, aka Herblock. Block’s cartoons not only reflected current politics, he helped shape the conversation on important topics like Civil Rights, nuclear arms, poverty and gun control. A new documentary following the Chicago-born Herblock’s life and career debuts Friday on HBO. We talk about it with award-winning producer George Stevens, Jr. about the film.
