Pioneering green building comes down

In the early 1970s, architect Howard Alan did something to his Lincoln Park home that was less common than it is now-he made it environmentally conscious. In recent decades he grew the green footprint of his house and work studio. That building was recently demolished. Alan talks about the process of turning the property green and housing reporter Dennis Rodkin shares more recent examples of how homeowners are making their houses more green.
