A battle is brewing over the use of a high school locker room by a transgender student

Students aren’t being treated equally in one high school locker room in Northwest suburban Palatine, according to the federal government. School administrators are requiring a transgender student to shower and change behind a curtain, separate from the other players on her soccer team. The superintendent is defending the practice, even after the Department of Education said it violates anti-discrimination laws.
